On Tuesday, 9 February 2021, we will celebrate the 18th edition of Safer Internet Day with actions taking place right across the globe. With a theme once again of "Together for a better internet", the day calls upon all stakeholders to join together to make the internet a safer and better place for all, and especially for children and young people.

Safer Internet Program Hungary will celebrate this day as well.

Safer Internet Program has also launched three online creative competitions for primary and secondary school students. 438 applications were sent, 160 from Budapest and 278 from the countryside. The prize of the winners is almost 1,500,000 forints.

The motto of the event is "Together for a better internet!" Not everyone is a professional internet user, but everyone needs to know about the benefits and dangers of the internet.

The Hungarian SIP programme is supported by Microsoft Hungary, NCSC Hungary (NKI) and The National Police Headquarters (ORFK)
